Compiling more tools

First of all, thanks for the tweaks! I've bought the device yesterday, it's almost in the proper condition now :-)

Accidentally I've found out that ext3 reserves 5% of the partition space for odd purposes. It's possible to adjust the amount of wasted space using tune2fs. I'd like to have tune2fs on hand, so the question is how to compile stuff for TS-I300?

Re: Compiling more tools

You can get the toolchain form GPL sources which is available at Trendnet home page. Then you can compile a toolchain and finally use this toolchain to compile programs you like.

DSM-G600 - NetBSD hdd-boot - 80GB Samsung SP0802N
NSA-220 - Gentoo armv5tel 20110121 hdd-boot - 2x 2TB WD WD20EADS

I'm in a great need of NFS support on my TS-I300, so I'd like to compile the tools as you did for dlink.

Here is the unzip -l of the GPL file, supplied by Trendnet. May be I misunderstood something, but I cannot find the toolchain tarball.

Code:

Z:\>unzip -l GPL_TS-I300_I300W.ZIP
Archive: GPL_TS-I300_I300W.ZIP

Re: Compiling more tools

Hm..
I think you can use DSM-G600 toolchain source and change ARCH:=i386 in Makefile

DSM-G600 - NetBSD hdd-boot - 80GB Samsung SP0802N
NSA-220 - Gentoo armv5tel 20110121 hdd-boot - 2x 2TB WD WD20EADS
