I also managed to upgrade to 1.01b10 via the web interface without problems. Then i set the standby timer to 10 minutes, disconnected all the clients and let the device sit alone for an hour, but didn't notice any kind of disk spindown and the power consumption remained at steady 13 Watts, which is the same as in active mode, so it doesn't look like we have the sleep mode even in 10b.

I'm trying to update from version 1.0 to 1.01b10. I've already downloaded that firmware from the link said in this post.
When I uncompress it, there is only a file called system.tgz - which I cannot uncompress like a tgz, by the way. Then I go to the web interface and select that file. When I click on "Apply", the 313 says that it's not a valid file.
So says the PDF guide for upgrading the firmware. But I'm unable to find that "zImage" file that the guide says I must upload to the 313.
Obvisously, I'm pretty lost. :-S

copy the content of cd to ur hard drive, replace the system.tgz witht he one u downloaded.
but post probably it will format the drive.

Try to upgrade to 1.01b6 first using the patch instructions (the file zImage is on your installation cd). Then you can try to upload the 1.01b10 file with the web interface. Several people on the german forums reported that they had to install 1.01b5 before the web interface accepted 1.01b6 so i assume that they have changed something in the meantime causing the 1.0 firmware to reject the newer 1.01 patches.
