Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Re: New DNS-313 firmware 1.03b04 beta

So, has anybody succeeded to get xbox working with 1.03b4 upnp av-server?

I have not. Xbox cant see the server at all.

How about with N810 Canola media player? I can see the files on 313, but Canola (or other players) wont play them.

Any suggestions?

Re: New DNS-313 firmware 1.03b04 beta

Yeps, having the same problem after firmware update... Though I updated the v2 when I should have updated with v1. So my bad :-(

But is there anyway to rescue the 'bricked' NAS now? I have only Win Vista machines so no possibility to hack the nas with linux. Any help would be highly appreciated...Plz.

Forgot to mention that I have exactly the same symptoms as steffen described but I haven't tried the USB connection yet.

Re: New DNS-313 firmware 1.03b04 beta

i managed to fix it by connecting the nas directly to a computer with a tp cable.. didnt work with a switch/router in between

Re: New DNS-313 firmware 1.03b04 beta

Got my DNS back in the game. I had to reset and do a new fw install using the original cd with 1.0 fw. Then after that updated using the D-Link web console. Now 'everything' working fine.

But has anyone tested and confirmed that funplug works with this firmware version?
I downloaded the funplug stuff and tried to telnet the device but I get this:

C:\>telnet 10.0.0.100
Connecting To 10.0.0.100...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed

But however I'm able to do ping:

C:\>ping 10.0.0.100

Pinging 10.0.0.100 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.0.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.0.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.0.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.0.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Ping statistics for 10.0.0.100:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms

Anyone got any ideas about this?

Almost forgot that this is the ffp.log after the funplug(0.5) install:

**** fun_plug script for DNS-323 (2008-08-11 tp@fonz.de) ****
Wed Mar 11 23:14:24 EET 2009
ln -snf /mnt/HD_a4/ffp /ffp
/ffp/etc/rc: Not found or not executable
