Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

a friend of mine tried connecting through the internet with my dns313.
He used filezilla.
i gave him a username and pasword and he managed to make the connection.
he tried to download a file from my pc, but the speed was: 4,3kB/s
he tried uploading a file to my nas and the speed was: 150 kB/s.
both almost nothing.
my internetprovider gives me a downloadspeed of max 4mbps and upload of 448kbps.
so anyone any idea where the problem could be?
thx

Can be related to bad MTU value :
If your DNS-313 has access to Internet through a DSL Line (DSL Router with pppoe etc..), you should set the MTU value to 1492, on "Lan Setup" page.

i did that. mtu on 1492
i also changed in filezilla to active modus.
now:
test one:
extern user Hans tried downloading a file (1 gigabyte)
transferrate indicated on filezilla was 50 kBps.
Then he tried uploading to my nasdrive: speed up to max 150 kBps. but the connection disrupted and then the system reconnected again, as if it needed to make a new connection through another port!
Test two
i logged in in filezilla myself (intern) with the ip of the nas and user : hans and pw: xxxxx
i tried to move the 1 gb file from the nas to my c: drive.
it started with a speed o ,3,7 MBps!!!!!
transferred the whole file in 2 minutes!!!
so that worked;
any idea???
thx!!!

So :
For the Nas -> Internet way :
Before : 4,3 kB/s
After : 50 kB/s
This new speed is almost the best your line can do (448 kbps / 8 = 56 kB/s)
For the Internet -> NAS way :
Before : 150 kB/s
After : 150 kB/s
No improvement ... and it is still below the maximum (4096 kbps / 8 = 512 kB/s)
Maybe it's your friend, who can't upload at higher speed ?
