I setup my DNS-343 with 4x500GB Samsung drives in a RAID5.
Funplug 0.5 all went just nicely I copied over my movie collection without an issue, but then decided to move my mp3 collection over (all via ftp) it goes along just fine then all of a sudden stops.
Can't ping the NAS anymore. I can still hit the "next" button on the front panel and cycle through it's options no problems at all, I can unplug the network cable and the front panel complains, plug it back in no issues, but the NAS is no longer responding. I have to hold in power, then pull the plug and power backup.
Only seems to be doing it with my mp3's.
Anyone have any ideas?

no.... I uploaded about 350GB in a session that copied my movies, MP3's, a backup drive from another Linux PC that does rsync's to my work Server... took a long time over a horrible Windows PC copying from one source to the DNS-343 ... NO problems.
Can you single out a file giving problems or is it random?
