NSA 220 Power Management

Dear all,

I'm from Holland and my English isn't that good. I'm new on this forum. I found this forum on the internet.
I just bought a NSA-220 and updatet it too the newest firmware.

I'm about to plan a powerplan. But I can only reboot or turn off the device. I mailed the Zyxel company. They say it can be done on the 220-plus only.
So do you have any solutions to reduce any powerconsumption?

Thank you!

Re: NSA 220 Power Management

The only easy possibility is switching off the disks, but I suppose you already did that. The non-plus version just lacks the hardware to do something else.
By adding a capacitor to the box you could use an external switch-clock to poweron the box, but you should be very sure the box powered itself down before cutting the AC.
More advanced is adding a microcontroller to virtual push the button. I suppose this is what is done in the plus.
