problem with ftp server

Hi there!

I have a DNS-313 perfectly working over my home network and I decided to get it working as a ftp server in order to access my file from work and so on. I prerformed the dynamic dns thing and everything seems to work ok. I'm able to connect to my dns from a computer outside the home-network and see all the files, but when I want to download or upload files things don't work. It states waitein until it quits the action. I've review the ftp options for dns313 but don't know how to solve it! any ideas?

thanks!!

Re: problem with ftp server

Your problems may be caused by the NAT gateway, which doesn't support "dynamic FTP forwarding" (I supposed you have already opened and redirected port 21 to your DNS-313 device)

You should try to configure your FTP client (for example, fileZilla) to use Active mode, instead of (default ?) Passive mode
