DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

Hi guys,
I am pretty new(bie) of that system but finally I got it working.

My first issue is about creating new users and give permissions:
I need to be the only one who can access the nas in my network.

However, if I create an account with my name and I give to it read/write permissions denying permissions for anyone else I can't access anyway.

I'm working on a mac with snow loepard; in finder window I can see nas like "guest" (and I can read and write only if I haven't arranged any rule) and I see another partition called "your-2cba.. etc"  what's this?
Which name I had to use to make my mac working with dns?
I didn't find anything on the manual, neither googling.


My second issue is about the difference I found in  size for the same folder: I transferred it from my external hdd to nas and that's what I have:



How is that possible? more than 100 Mbytes and there's more files in the smaller folder...
