Weird problem, only one of my 3 machines have that problem.
I tried all Admin and Password combination , changed password and such but no go.
When I look at the log in the DNS it shows all these failed attempts sometime as Admin or even as GUEST.
IMHO there is something about the way Win7 tries to access the NAS but what's killing me is that a similar machine running the exact same windows , Win7 64 , has no problem.
Please help.

First thing check the firewall settings between all boxes then check the security settings. Those were the things I had to look at to help a friend connect to his NAS. I can't tell you exactly what to look for as I don't remember and don't have any version of windows here.

I found that creating a user on the DNS 320 that has the same name as the win7 user name and password solved most of my problems.
I noticed as you did that win7 tries to connect to the NAS using the User Name and password of the currently logged in user. If this user name / password combination does not exist on the NAS then log in fails.
I run 2 Linux Mint machines, 2 Win 7 and one XP and I have the least issues when using the Linux systems.
I also believe you can manually edit the credentials for Win 7 and XP , this may solve the issue.

Got it fixed for me.
Basically if your account is named Admin or Administrator you're out of luck.
Once you change the user name to anything else it works like a charm.
Use Netplwiz.exe in W7 premium to change the ACTUAL name , not the one you see when you login... yes confusing why there are two names for the account but this is Microsoft for you ....
