First of all thank you all who have contributed to this.
I am wondering what the best setup for my DNS-320 would be to suit my needs.
1. Downloader from pro sites like rapidshare. (pyload? very cpu/mem intense)
2. Torrent transfers (using transmission works great, although i would like to add more trackers to torrents like in utorrent)
3. Network DLNA with transcoding that works. (Twonky with transcoding enabled?.... WIP)
4. FTP (built in)
Thoughts, tips ideas?
All of this running at once seems like it may be too much for my DNS-320 (pyload and transcoding)

Anyone ever get this thing to actually transcode a video file?

I can't say anything to 1. and 4. since I don't use either.
I do use Transmission (obviously), and it works great on the DNS-325 (better than on the DNS-323).
As a tip, you can add trackers to a torrent via command-line:
$ transmission-remote -t <torrent id> --tracker-add <tracker url>
I do use minidlna for my DLNA needs, but since my Bluray player supports many formats, I have no need for transcoding.
I'm pretty sure the NAS will not be capable of transcoding HD video though.
PS: For a second there I thought this was a screenshot of my own desktop. Looks eerily similar (including both gadgets on the right!
