Just bought myself a DNS 313.
I have put a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120gb drive in which isn't on the approved list.
Everytime I try to go through the Click & connect software. The device is found but then when it tries to format the disk. It switches off.
I think its going to be the disk as its old and not on the approved list. But why I'm not sure about this, is that through the USB cable it works fine ???? (as storage only)
So why does it work on the USB but not on the network cable.

It was the hard drive. Works fine with a disk off the approved list
