DNS-320 with DNR-322 Firmware

I'd like to use my DNS-320 as an NVR for my home. Looking at both devices, they appear identical, the only difference in the specifications being the amount of RAM. Is it at all possible to force the device to accept the DNR-322 firmware? I'm looking for a management mode or something of the sort. I don't mind bricking a couple devices to end up making this work. I do appreciate any input.

Re: DNS-320 with DNR-322 Firmware

The devices seem to be  identical. I might be able to make it work, but I don't have access to this device. Maybe if someone sent me a rom dump I could give it a try to my good old dns-320. Maybe we could make the 320 to recognize some usb cameras via the usb port
