BitTorrent Sync

Hello,

I have ffp installed on my DNS-343 and am trying to get BitTorrent Sync working on it.

I downloaded the ARM binary, setup my config file and ran it. When I ran it, I received the following error.

Code:

Failed to sent minidump file <NULL>. code = 4090232
error: libcurl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. response: OK
Failed to sent minidump file <NULL>. code = 4098912
error: libcurl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. response: OK
Failed to sent minidump file <NULL>. code = 4098960
error: libcurl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. response: OK

I then installed the curl funpkg, but still received the same error.

I posted on the BitTorrent Forum and was told that the ffp curl package is missing the shared object libraries. How do I add these? Is there a package that already includes them?

I was able to install this without issue on a Zyxel NSA-221. I installed fpp and then the binary worked "out of the box". I didn't have to install curl or make any changes.

Any help to get this working would be greatly appreciated.

Eddie

Re: BitTorrent Sync

I almost forgot.

BitTorrent Sync is a really cool syncing application that uses the bittorrent network to sync encrypted folders across your network and the internet. They have clients for Windows, Mac, Linux, and several NAS devices.

It is in pre-alpha stage and you need an invitation to get it.

Re: BitTorrent Sync

So it's a binary, you downloaded and installed? I that case it won't know it should search for it's libraries in /ffp/lib, and use /lib and/or /usr/lib instead. I suppose the ZyXEL firmware has a sufficient libcurl, and the 343 doesn't.

Re: BitTorrent Sync

It is a binary. I tried symlinking the libraries as another user posted, but it didn't work.

Re: BitTorrent Sync

has anyone else tried this?

it is a great application for an NAS.  I have it working on a WD MybookLive, but would much prefer to have it operating on my DNS323.  Please post updates if anyone figures it out.

Re: BitTorrent Sync

You can forget the 323, unless you put a 3th party OS on it. The stock kernel is OABI, which isn't supported.
