Hey DNS-343 Developers --
Would it be possible to get HTOP added to the downloads directory of packages?
Thanks,
-Ben

Fabulous -- thanks!
Quick question: What util on the DNS supports the XZ compression?
I have the tar 1.13 and 1.19 -- neither seem to support the -J switch.
Cheers,
-Ben
(or should I just uncompress elsewhere?)

FFP 0.7 has a tool xz. But you don't need to use that, just use funpkg.

I saw funpkg -- I'll try that.
Thanks,

Didn't work...
(DNS-343) /mnt/HD_a2# funpkg -i ffp-downloads/htop-1.0-arm-0.txz gzip: invalid magic tar: Child returned status 1 tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors FATAL: ffp-downloads/htop-1.0-arm-0.txz: Failed to unpack package

In that case I guess you are running FFP 0.5? I think the FFP 0.7 package won't work anyway, then.

Yes.
I am running 0.5
Could I impose on you to compile htop for 0.5?
(does ffp 0.7 run on the DNS-343? what's the diff/advantages?)

Here you are.
does ffp 0.7 run on the DNS-343?
Probably.
what's the diff/advantages?
It's newer, better supported, more packages (although some 0.5 packages are missing). Further, if your box runs EABI, it can use a more efficient calling mechanism.

Interesting.
Thanks for the Help Mijzelf... I appreciate it.
My DNS-343 is now a backup storage array for my much more oomphy CentOS Server -- so I'm not thinking I need to move to 0.7 -- I hardly have anything running on the DNS-343...
but it does so SNMP trap reception and nightly rsyncs as well as DNSmasq.
Very awesome.
Thanks again!
