debian squeeze samba configuration

Hi,

I installed ftp://ftp.dlink.hu/dns/dns-320/driver_s … 110111.zip on my DNS-320 long time ago.

Recently I had to reset the device to factory default settings after I messed up my router setting and couldn't connect back to the device webpage.

When I log back in, I find that I am always accessing the files as "nobody".

How can I map my Windows user name back to the device share?

I have been reading many different posts and none of the solutions provided seems to solve my problem.

What I try is go to the share in Windows and create a new empty txt document.  Then I use putty to ssh into the device and check for the user name / group and always see something like this:

root@dlink-02E970:/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Files# ls -ltr | tail -n 1
-rwxrwxrwx  1 1003   502      0 May 18 18:15 New Text Document.txt

Before my reset, it always created files using my user/group name:
root@dlink-02E970:/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Files# ls -l | grep Books
drwxrwxrwx  7 Eric nas     4096 Jul  3  2014 Books

Thanks!
