I prepared some small howto for a remote wakeup for the DNS323 with an SBC65EC (PIC6627 single board computer with ethernet). By doing so, it's possible to wake up the NAS with an html GUI from everywhere with optional passwort protection.
It's extendable to whatever one needs, i.e. wake on power loss, ir, has a bunch of unused I/O ports, analog, ...,
May be someone needs something like that. It's in German, but i think it should be understandable anyway.
