Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hello. I recently purchased a DNS323 unit - and my main concern was the following. I wanted to be able to insert a 500GB hard drive in the unit, then transfer data from my existing 250GB hard drive in my desktop. Then after doing so, I wanted to be able to insert the 250GB hard drive in the unit in a standard configuration - while not losing any of the data.
What I had found is that sometimes, dns323 will format your existing hard drive as well - so not to take any chances, I removed the 500GB hdd after transferring data (right slot) and inserted the 250gb hdd (left slot) and formatted it.
Then I plugged the 500gb and turned the system up - what this did was the following - the 500gb was now Volume_1-1 and I was unable to access it and 250GB remained Volume 1.
So next, I took both the drives out. and turned the system through a power cycle.
Then I plugged in the 500GB in right slot - did a power cycle, and then plugged 250gb in left slot and did another power cycle.
This is what I have now : 500GB is accessible as Volume_1 and 250GB as Volume_2.
Here are my issues:
1. In the Easy Search utility I still see an additional Volume_1-1 - which when asked to map, brings up a login/password and neither my dns323 admin password, nor a general full access password works. I'd just like to remove this if possible.
2. When I go to the system tab in the web configuration GUI, the total Hard Disk Capacity shows 186MB and used and unused space is 0MB. This is just plain freaky!
3. Also on the same screen, the system temperature is appearing in funky characters.
I am attaching the screenshot. No mods have been made to the unit.
Kindly advise on how I can rectify these issues.
Thank you for your input.
