Small "beginner" question ...

Why is it more easy to install debian ?
When it's installed , does it means you loose the default admin web page ?

Can you help me to understand ?

Re: install Apache, mysql and php

I think because of compilation issues.

I'm gonna go for installing Apache + MySQL + PHP also very soon. I will be doing it on the chrooted Etch (simply because it will be easier to install with packages so I can devote more time to the security setup).

By chrooting there will be already more security and people won't be able to access the data which is not in the Chrooted directory but I want to have a secure Apache setup.

I've decided to choose for Lighttpd, from the name I thought it would be a "Lite" / "No-use" version webserver but from what I read it's fully capable easy to setup and secure and faster / using less resources than Apache.

I'll be playing today smile
