Hi All,
A problem has been nagging me since I bought the DNS-323 some months ago. Each time I try to copy a large file, i.e something larger than 2GB, from the Ubuntu machine to the DNS-323 the mv or cp program core dumps.
Copying large files works well in my Ubuntu system.
Copying large files from my Windows XP machine works without a problem.
I am using samba to connect the Ubuntu box to the DNS-323.
Any help would be appreciated.

What firmware are you running? There was a problem transferring files above 2GB with firmware earlier than 1.03.

Search the forum. This is a FAQ. You need to use the lfs mount option!

No problem here, but I use nfs under Ubuntu. It's a way better than Samba under Linux.

That seems to have done the trick, thank you. I tried to read the FAQ and search the forum but I guess that I did not manage to find the right post.
Perhaps that should be included in the FAQ as well?
