DNS-323, DSM-520 and subtitles (*.srt) with Twonkyvision

Hi,

I've managed to install Twonkyvision using this forum, and everything is working with my setup (DNS-323 with Twonkivision 4.4.2 UPNP and DSM-520 connected to my TV) except that the subtitles never display. Did someone managed to get them to work?

Thank You

Make sure the SRT files are in Unix format, rather than Windows.  If that doesn't work, see if encoding it in UTF-8, instead of ANSI works.  I've never tried it myself (don't have any media with subtitles), so let us know if it works for you smile

Just a dumb question: How do i check if they are UTF-8 or ANSI?

Use NotePad++ (free download) and in the Format menu, you can see what formatting it is in.

Re: DNS-323, DSM-520 and subtitles (*.srt) with Twonkyvision

So, i tried your tips last night, but with no sucess :-(
I saved the subtitles utf-8+unix format and also tried utf-8+windows format
refreshed the Upnp (twonkyvision) server, restarted the DNS-323, and nothing...

I'll keep on looking for a solution...
