Can access via FTP internal but now outside home network

Hi,

I've got a DNS-323 with firmware 1.04 date 11/05/2007 and a Airport Extreme as a router.

I can access via ftp from local network but when I try outside router it doesn't work.
I've set the DNS-323 to run ftp on port 3389 and forwared 3389 in the router to the local ip of the DNS-323.

I can see the following message in the log of the client:

Code:

220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd ----------
220-You are user number 1 of 10 allowed.
220-Local time is now 09:45. Server port: 3389.

Re: Can access via FTP internal but now outside home network

shouldn't you forward in coming port21 to internal port 3389 and the correct ip adress?

Im using port 3389 on the client side and forwarding 3389 to the local ip of the dns.

Re: Can access via FTP internal but now outside home network

Unrelated, ish, but you probably shouldn't use ftp over the internet and use something encrypted instead like scp.
