nfs mount timeout

i just received my ch3snas, installed fun_plug for telnet and nfs support.

the ch3snas has nfs support build in so i use the nfs-utils from fonz. installation worked fine.

i can now mount from my linux box the HD_a2 (RAID1) volume to a mountpoint, but when i try to mount HD_a4 (JBOD) i get a timeout error:
mount.nfs: mount to NFS server '192.168.1.10' failed: timed out, retrying

my exports file looks like this:

Code:

/ 192.168.1.0/24(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check)
/mnt/HD_a2 192.168.1.0/24(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check)
/mnt/HD_b2 192.168.1.0/24(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check)

my fstab has two entries for mounting the a2 and b2 volumes:

Code:

192.168.1.10:/mnt/HD_a2 /media/nas/vol1 nfs auto,rw 0 0
192.168.1.10:/mnt/HD_b2 /media/nas/vol2 nfs auto,rw 0 0

after unmounting /media/nas/vol1 and vol2 and remounting by "mount -a"  and also manually mounting the two volumes the timeout error is shown.

Re: nfs mount timeout

The NFS support is only available from firmware upgrade, not stock !

Using the 1.3b4 firmware following my procedure
http://www.aroundmyroom.com/2007/12/15/ … ux-system/

caused me NOT to have any issue mounting (no fstab yet)
last week. I am planning to install a 2nd mount to be fixed through fstab but I've not investigate how to activate it when added to fstab (I rather not reboot my server)
