iTunes server question

I'm setting up a DNS-323 for my parents, and have an iTunes question.

They have multiple computers, and want to be able to sync iTunes to all the machines (all the same music and playlists show up everywhere). I setup the DNS 323, turned on iTunes server, and moved their library to it.

I seem to be having problems changing the playlists on the DNS 323. Is there a way to easily modify the playlists? I'm assuming it's a limitation of iTunes, rather than the DNS 323.

I don't want to be stuck with the 4 playlists that came with the DNS.

Thanks

Re: iTunes server question

I believe the playlists on the vanilla iTunes server shipping with the DNS-323 are hard-coded.
To get more flexibility, you'll have to install a newer version, (which is now called Firefly Media Server).

You can find instructions here on the board as well as in the Wiki.

Syncing won't be possible at all with any iTunes server. That functionality just isn't there (probably due to copyright restrictions).
What you can do is move your music folder to the NAS and then tell iTunes where to find your music. But then again, you'll have to manually adjust playlists and music content on each machine separately.
