Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

just bought this unit after researching it for a week, hooked it up through netgear wireless router, upgraded firmware, connects to both my wireless laptops mapped network drive, working great! then I try to access it with my wired HTPC...nothing. easy search doesn't see it, tried adding a network place...nothing, I can ping it, I can get to the configuration through my browser change settings but can't connect. I have the router set for DHCP and I have all my PCs set with address reservation, i have the dns 323 set with static ip. HELP! after 2 days of trying to figure this out I'm getting pissed.
Oh yeah and I can still access each and every PC from every PC as part of my network.

Take a look at the network connection properties in the HTPC - do you have "file & print sharing" ticked ?

have you checked that they are all on the same workgroup (dns323 also) or tried to access the dns 323 via unc path ex: \\192.168.0.100\Volume_1 (substitute your ip address in)
also are you running the same version of windows on all pc's

yes, yes, and yes, same workgroup 192.168.1.x all tried the IP and the MAC address for network place and running XP home on all PCs
