Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi all, i've found this great community some months ago and i was impressed by the big amount of work you guys have done to add new functionalities to this little nas, so i decided to buy me one asap .
Now the time has come, and i must choose between a dns323 and a cheaper ch3snas.
As stated in many topics, the hardware platform is essentially the same, but there are many differences in the software layer ( default features set, open bug/issues,etc...).
If i remember right, the ch3snas has a default samba3 support (dns3 still at v2) and some preloaded apps like a bittorrent client... but i dont now much about firmware stability and open issues on the ch3snas (it has a no spin down bug even in the latest release ).
Given your personal experience regarding the quality and frequence of the firmware releases, which box is a better choice?

I use the CH3SNAS and i'm very happy with it. New Firmware version are released in the same speed as on the DNS-323.
All the fun-plug stuf works great. So save your money and buy the same, cheaper CH3SNAS. Spend your money on extra diskspace. Thats what this thing is all about! (sorry for my bad english)

I don't know which one is better, but the conceptronic is cheaper and I am also a very happy user. Very quite, power efficient, stays very cool with the WD Greenpower discs. I use the funplug for automated backup from disc to disc, fanspeed control. The only thing what i don't like is the mediaserver, but there is a very good alternative available by installing the Twonky mediaserver.

The CH3NAS comes with a BT client preloaded? I can't find any reference to that on their site...

My fault, no bt support on the ch3snas... who cares anyway, with the funplug it appears to be very easy to add.
