File authorities

I have installed my DNS-323 (FW=1.03) a couple a days ago and experience some strange behaviour.

When I write protect a file from Windows XP pro by tickning the box in the files properties, the file does not become write protected. The box is not ticked when checking it again a moment later, and the file can be deleted as any file.

Windows XP pro authorities an DNS-323 files dos not work. When changing autorities on file on the DNS-323 the authorities does not get changed.

Has anybody experienced this? Any solution?

Re: File authorities

You can find out why this happens here: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/samba/ch … 05_03.html
The UNofficial v1.04 firmware has an option for the archive bit.
If you want to map other flags, you'll need to edit the samba configuration file and restart the samba daemon AFAIK.
