No Disk Utilities Menue

Hallo together,
I'm new here and have a question about the DNS-323 (Firmware 1.04)
I got the box yesterday and after updating the firmware, putting in the harddrives (WD Caviar Re2 GP) I was'n askesd if i want them formatet as EXT2 or EXT 3 ... now they are EXT2 (as two sepperate disks)   but I want them as EXT3 (as two sepperate disks).
But the biggest problem is, that there is no Disk Utilitie menue, so that there is no way to start scan disk and defragment.

Is that normal at firmware 1.04???

Can anybody help me to get that box running correctly?

Best regards from germany

Re: No Disk Utilities Menue

Ext3 and the disk utilities were removed in firmware 1.03 (I think), so yes, it is normal in 1.04.

Thank you, fordem

I see no evidence of this.

Hi Fonz,
That sounds much better to me. Thanks for your information.
I'm obviously a Linux-dumbhead.
