Hello,
I have a Gigbit-Ethernet.
In my PC is a onboard Marvel Yukon 88E80001 and on the other side the CH3SNAS from conceptronics (I think the same as DNS-323, only a little cheaper ), connected through a Netgear GS605 Gigbit-switch.
The maximum performance with ftp is round about 20 MB/s. I this ok? For gigabit it's not really fast. Before this NAS I have had an old Shuttle Barebone with Athlon XP 3000+, 512MB RAM, Intel Pro 1000 GT PCI under OpenNAS and the performance was round about 40 MB/s.
Is this 20MB/s the limitation of the hardware of the NAS or is there any possibility to tune this a little?
grettings from germany
