Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
Hope somebody will compile it for DNS 323.

I am keen on mldonkey too. the new mldonkey may be as good as you think transmission is, plus the donkey network has its uses.

Nice to see a new version.
I hope that it uses less memory
My mldonkey run with an average of 50mb used and I can't use transmission because I need the proxy features..

With mldonkey 2.9.3 I have this situation with a fresh start, no download, only an hundred of files shared.

It's 41mb too much? Or maybe with 2.9.5 would be better?

Hi, Levis
I guess your mldonkey consumes more memory than mines.
There are several ways to tweak mldonkey to reduce the memory usage.
i can't remember them all, but in general should be like disable ipfilter and blacklist feature, disable the network protocal you never use, don't connect more than 2 servers if you feel 1 or 2 is enough to find the sources, reduce the data count used in statics web page, etc...
You may find out these in mldonkey forum.

Thank you for the answer, from downloads.ini I have removed all the web_infos, and now I have:
14087 1 Adm S 18912 30% 7% /mnt/HD_a2/lnx_bin/mlnet 14093 14087 Adm S 18912 30% 0% /mnt/HD_a2/lnx_bin/mlnet 14094 14093 Adm S N 18912 30% 0% /mnt/HD_a2/lnx_bin/mlnet
And I think it's good

well, nobody using mldoneky anymore?
I'd like to know how to compile this within fun_plug 0.5 anyway.
Offline
I've recently compiled 2.9.5 but it is for fon's fun_plug 0.3. You can try it though.

lol, andy you are back!
Can it run under fun_plug 0.5 like previous build 2.9.3? I'm running it right now.
But sometimes after reboot/shutdown (after kill mldonkey core from mldonkey web), mldonkey won't start anymore. Got to delete setting files to make it back online again.
Annoying cuz it's erased everything but cannot rebuild from tmp files.
Offline
kenyloveg, when that happens (segmentation fault) just copy the .ini's from old_settings directory (or is it called old_config - too lazy to check now )
thanks andy for the new version. will try it out later today..
kenyloveg, it'll probably work on 0.5 just fine, just unpack the tar and place the files manually on the right locations (that's what i will try too )

kenyloveg,
Hi! Well, it should run with no problem as it is quite a separate binary from fonz's fun_plug. Was busy with school's stuffs so went "missing" for a while. Now it is holidays so time to compile!
SilentException,
You are welcome. Yes, it would probably run.
Regards,
shadowandy

Yeap! Went missing for preparation for exams although last week was different. Went overseas! Visited Thailand! Now back to Singapore. Need to catch up with the dns-323 developments.

Hi shadowandy,
I tried to download the compiled version 2.9.5 from your website but unfortunately the files are missing (all 3 flavors). The 2.9.3 are working though.
Could you please check?
Yours,
Bernhard

Oops, seems like the webhosting didn't migrate all my data over. Will shift the files in. Thanks for informing.
