mldonkey keeping hard drive up

ok, here is the scenario:

using dns-323 1.04 and fun_plug 0.5 i have set up everything to run over usb stick (so that the hdd's can sleep peacefuly when telneting or using lighttpd). i've checked and modified every setting i know but still, after running mlnet, HD0 goes up and never goes to sleep again (well sometimes it does, only to be awaken few minutes later). killing mldonkey and HD0 goes to sleep after some time.

i've did the ls -laRu on HD_a2 and HD_a4 to check access times, i've done ls -laRt to check modification times, both gave me nothing to work with.

so i'm turning here for the help. what in the world is mldonkey accessing to keep the hard drive up (all mldonkey folders: temp, share, incomming, torrents are set on the usb drive, logging is disabled share scanning is every 6 hours-but the share is on usb anyhow)..

i'm really out of ideas here.. help! smile
