Hi guys... My first post ever (been reading here for a long time.)
1. What does the DNS say when you check the FW in the TOOLS/SUPPORT section?
2. Is it running OK or do you think that this still is beta FW, should I wait for the official FW on DLink site?

There is something wrong with "Downloads" page design (in 1.04 firmware everything was OK). I'm using IE6 SP1 from Win2000 SP4.
Have a look at these screens:
Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (not OK)
Opera 9.25 (OK)
"Configuration" page is OK.

Easy Search 4.2.0.0 is needed to install BT module. It's a one-time procedure.

Is "b28" short for "beta 28" or "build 28"? I'm just wondering if I should wait until an official (hopefully stable) release arrives. I mean, 1.05 is not announced on the www.dlink.com product firmware page yet.

Everything seems to run smooth except the FTP server.
I needed to go to FTP settings and click on every user or group in "FTP Access List" and just click OK to get it to work.

No, that's a download link. I refer to this page http://www.dlink.com/products/support.a … 0#firmware
Anyway, I will try this whether it's a beta (or just "build 28") or not...just for the fun of it.

www.dlink.com is D-Link USA's web site - D-Link has other web sites for other countries, and you will frequently find that the firmware releases on the different sites are out of sync with one another - the links on this page come point to the D-Link Singapore support site.
You can run into problems using firmware for one country in a different one - especially with wireless equipment, where there may be differences in the channels (or frequencies) permitted by law - and you could have a situation where D-Link USA might say that use of a D-Link Singapore firmware constitutes a breach of warranty (or vice versa).
Personally - as long as I can get it from a D-Link support site, I would consider it official - however - there is a post here that indicated that 1.05 is expected to be released on the US site within a week or so - and even though I have downloaded from the Singapore site, I might just wait for the US release.

All D-Link country firmware releases for the DNS-323 are the same. There are no differents! The different is only if a D-Link country support is doing a release of a version or not.
The new version 1.05b28 have the Firmware Date : 05/05/2008 an NOT like on the D-Link Singapore site 05/09/2008!
The Version 1.05b28 is the build 28 release from the Version 1.05 and NOT a beta version!
To use the new BT client it is necessary also to use the new Easy Search Utility vers. 4.2.0.0. Only with one the new BT Client will be installed.
The guys from DL-Support released both versions already here:

i am sure that 05/09/2008 release date is the date that D-link SG release the firmware on their webpage and not the date of when the firmware was released (in this case 05/05)

Maybe but it makes no sense for me that they don´t use the correct firmware date. This confused the customers. Also a lot of D-Link country supports don´t write the correct build version on their sites. As far as I know there are 5 different build versions.
