Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi there!
Now I know those issues come back each time a firmware kicks in, but thats just weird.
I've upgraded to 1.05 this morning, everything was fine until a few minutes ago tells me that both drive fails. Now if I reboot the dns it works, but after a few minutes it fails. Is there anything that can cause this.
Take note that I have fun_plug installed along with firefly w/ 2x500gb hd (and had 1.04 before)
Could any of the new services like BT would cause some wrong failure or something?
Thanks a lot!
EDIT:
Drive types are 2x seagates I think and they are configured as standalone (no raid, no JBOD). I'll have to check if I can see what is their firmware tho :S

It might be an idea to list the drive types (firmware if possible) and configuration (if RAID/JBOD) in a message like this - I understand that there were compatibility issues between 1.04 and certain firmware versions on some drives, and since D-Link does monitor these forums, they might be able to use that information to recreate the problem.
You might also want to post your experience in their forum
I upgraded with out any hiccups yesterday - and then swapped a drive out and that provoked all sorts of unexpected issues.
I've since installed a pair of 80 GB Maxtors in a RAID1 and it seems to work fine so far - about 15 hours mostly in power save mode - I'll probably get to fooling with it in an hour or two.

I have the exact same problem. I have had my DNS-323 for about 6 months using two 500Gb Western Digital HD's running RAID 1. I have had no issues with my two Windows XP computers and OS 10.5 Apple sharing it with no issues. Exactly 1 day after installing Firmware 1.05 I got the dreaded email that both drives have failed. After restarting my heart and restarting the DNS everything was fine for a couple of hours when they went pink again.
I have since reverted back to 1.04 and everything is fine. I had no issues with 1.04 so I will be sticking with it until Dlink can figure this one out.

What I think happened, is the fan control, or something similar, stats gets reseted after a firmware update, it took some times, but now, its running perfectly fine!
