Re: Putty Telnet doesn't work

you likely have something misconfigured, or not configured (which can often be worse). We have SSH, NFS (with both inbound, outbound and local mounting) and Telnet (although we disabled Telnet once we got SSH up and running). We had all of this running on 1.03 and upgrade recently to 1.05. The next time you want to try to telnet to it, don't run telnet from the "Run" box, instead open a Command window (DOS box) and type in "telnet <DNS box IP>" there. That way you will see any errors being reported and they won't be lost when the prompt box auto-closes (if you run it from the "Run" start menu location).

HTH for any future forays into the FFP space.  smile

Re: Putty Telnet doesn't work

I'm running a clean 1.05 and I can telnet to it at all. I just get a "Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed"
