I agree, Twonky is working great. Plays 24gig+ video files of all types from the 323, only problem has been larger picture files but I believe even that has been fixed with version 5.0 (still in beta).

And yes, the 323 on-board UPnP server is seriously broken.

If you mean have I try other uPnP servers than Yes I have and it does work the same but not as good as twonkey.
Have I try loading a move locally no.

It's your fault. Get the newest PS3 firmware and it will work.

Edit: Do you own a PS3 and does it work for you?! ... I'm talking about streamin directly from the NAS to the PS3 whit out using any form of software.

I dont know what kind of PS3 you have but in order to stream from your NAS you have to have a streaming server or at least a web server serving the files with mime types... Any ways Twonkey does not have transcoding and if the PS3 could not play the file it would error out with unsupported data... I use to get that a lot with the previous "early" firmwares.... since a few firmwares ago the 2GIG limit was addressed...

    * You can now display an image while editing a playlist.

Music

    * You can now play a music track while editing a playlist.

Video

    * You can now play DivX and WMV format files that are 2GB or larger.
    * You can now display subtitles in DivX-format video files.
    * You can now begin playing a DVD from the point where you previously stopped it (Resume Play).
    * A [Mosquito Noise Reduction] option has been added under [AV Settings] in the control panel for standard DVDs.
    * You can now play BD-R version 1.2 (LTH BD-R) discs.
          o LTH, or low to high, is a recording method that supports organic dye write-once BD-R media.

Network

    * You can now change some PS3 system settings during remote play.
    * [Save Target] has been added as an option under [File] in the browse mode menu of the Internet browser. This option lets you save a file that is linked from a Web page, such as an image or video file, or other type of file, to your PS3 system's hard drive or storage media.
    * The Internet browser now displays Web pages more quickly.
    * Using the Internet browser, you can now play a linked video file as it is being downloaded.
          o Some types of video files cannot be viewed in this manner and must be downloaded completely before playback.

Previous to this firmware release I wanted to get my PS3 and throw it out the window...

Than Thats your problem.
The built in media server is broken...
use a third party media server.

First install ffp and than head to the twonkey site and download the twonkey package for DNS-323... If you are a windows user they have a very simple exe that does all the install process to your DNS...
But first you have to make sure you have ffp installed.
