Hi All
I've just completed an install of a unit with a single 500MB drive, and experienced a few quirks. I have NO linux experience, and was hoping that the unit would behave itself, but I think I'll probably have to take the plunge..... I upgraded the firmware to 1.05 as a first step.
My network is wired, with a few MG-35 media players(linux) and a PS3, as well as a few PC's and wireless laptops.
I noticed a few major and minor problems....
1) On more than one occasion the DNS has stopped responding, even to pings, forcing a power cycle to get it restarted. Is this typical?
2) The PS3 streaming seems OK, but not all files are being shown. Will I have to go with Twonky?
3) At the moment I have no users set up( just default all access), as I cant figure out how to set up the MG-35's as users. As I see it, if I remove the default access, all devices will then have to log in - how do I then identify the MG-35's and input this log-in info in the device?
So - will third party plugins fix these issues? Thanks in advance!
