Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

System refuse to format drive

Hi gang,

I purchased a new drive to replace one which I believe is going to die ( see http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t2072-stop-working.html).
So yesterday I took out the 2 old drives to prepare the new one (Hitachi 500G) for the transfer. At the moment I had 1.05.
Start the unit, got the login + the screen with the format options, click on separate volumes, 'Next' .... and nothing happened for minutes. From that moment on, the unit really refused to give me again any screen as long as that drive was in.
I even moved back to 1.04. If i have that new drive in, the browser is stuck in retrieving the format page (something with format_wizard1.asp).
What can I do? I rebooted several times, I reset the unit (the back button).

Thanks.

Re: System refuse to format drive

Do you have fun_plug installed?  If you don't I would recommend that you do, then you can telnet into the device and we might be able to see what's going on.  You can always remove the fun_plug later.

By the way, how were the 2 old drives configured?
