Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

My DND-323 (with F/W 1.05) froze as I was writing a file to it. The PCs on the network were no longer able to access it. The left drive LED went out. The centre light kept blinking. The right drive LED was solid.
I finally powered the unit off and back on again. A lot of HDD activity ensued and I was then able to access the drive from the network. But the left drive LED light is still not on but the right drive LED is on. I am able to write to the unit and when I do, the right light blinks to show activity.
How would you read this symptom? How can I determine if the left drive is Ok?
I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have.

What does the web admin say? Does it say completed, sync, or degraded?
Offline
The Status section of WebAdmin, under Hard Drive Info, says Sync Time Remaining: Completed
It also confirms there are 2 drives and that Vol Type is RAID 1.
Anything else I can/should look for in Web Admin?
Cheers...

Most likely the led burned out. Do you have telnet access to the devise? If you do, you can telnet in and check it out.

Telnet... Can I trouble you with instructions on how to do that? I last used telnet many years ago. Windows has a Telnet client, no? I'm sure I can find one somewhere. But how to I access the drive with telnet? I need the IP address I guess...

I recommend installing ffp. I use version 0.5. http://dns323.kood.org/howto:ffp
I also use putty for a telnet client. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgta … nload.html
Yes, you will need the ip address.

Install ffp. On reboot, there will be telnet access. Use Putty as the client on your PC.
