Hello,
I successfully installed lighttpd and php.
However, this release doesn't seem to use a php.ini file but only a lighttpd.conf file.
Is it possible to use a php.ini file in order to add specific options ? If yes, where does it need to be put on the filesystem to be taken into account.
Thanks
greg

fonz (or anyone else),
forgive me if this all seems silly - i'm a newbie to lighttpd/php/mysql, hacking in general
ok, as per all the excellent wikis and this forum, i've managed to get your funplug 0.5-lighttpd, as well as php 5.2.6 and mysql 5.1.23-rc up and running
but now i'd like to get gd2 working, as well perhaps saving session ids
all this needs to be enabled,
and then restart lighttpd - all this i get
so i searched around my 323 for a php.ini file - no dice (should be in ffp/etc, right?)
php.ini-dist in the examples folder seemed like the next best thing so i started enabling stuff (and perhaps foobarred the file) while still leaving it in the examples folder, and then i restarted lighttpd
of course, no dice
my questions are these:
1) should i simply copy the examples/php.ini-dist file into etc and rename it php.ini and then restart lighttpd?
2) if it's foobarred, can i find an original php.ini-dist file somwhere without attempting to re-install everything? i'd like to avoid the heartache of having to install everything again from scratch?
3) if it doesn't work and if i delete the new php.ini file from etc (leaving no php.ini file), and then restart lighttpd, would everythig revert back to how i have it now (i'm fairly content with getting this far)?
