Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Re: php

That's it!

It was as simple as creating the "logs" directory... hehe, now I feel like such a bum.

I've added a note to the README file.

Re: php

Fonz - congratulations to the new fun_plug!

It works fine - as far as I can tell - and allows me to run my Oxyl media server under lighttpd & php without having to chroot into debian.

Cool!!!

Luckily I saw the previous posts and created the logs directory manually before starting lighttpd.

Happy Sunday,

Emacs

Code:

cd /
tar xzvf /path/to/ruby-1.8.6.tgz

Just noticed a small flaw in the ruby package. Before you reboot next time, you should do this:

Code:

chown root.root /mnt/HD_a2
chmod 0777 /mnt/HD_a2

Hope it's not too late yet. I also updated the ruby package to fix this.

Re: php

Although my excitement was strong my instincts told me not to haphazardly install it right away, so you're not too late at all. Sort of how I wouldn't buy a first generation electronic, no matter how badly I wanted it!  I'll be sure and download the most recent edition before using it... smile

Could I request ImageScience?  It's a very lightweight image resizing application for Ruby, I've never been able to get the crosscompile toolchain working correctly and so I haven't been able to get near as far along as you have gotten me.  If you are enjoying yourself enough, while helping us all out and all.

Link to ImageScience

It has two requirements extra though so I wouldn't hold it against you not to release this.

One of the requirements is ImageScience which seems to have serious issues on Linux. If your goal is to create thumbnails, I can only suggest _not_ to use any kind of interactive tool, because thumbnail generation is way too slow. I've been testing ImageMagick (convert program) to generate thumbnails and screen-size images for about 2.5G of pictures - took about 48 hours.

Btw, I also uploaded the second test version of the 0.3 funplug, fixing strace and passwd.

What about MiniMagick?

By the way, thank you so much for doing Ruby and everything.
