is it possibile to recplace wireless mini pci with minin pci lan interface and install a deb firewall or would the two components still be bound?
I think it would make a better firewall box than having to use a nother tower. also if my printers aren't supported by linux is there a way to still use the box as a print server using my drivers off of vista.

You can try to use lprng on the box ... it's quite experimental but at home it works fine (but slowly) with XP and Vista and a canon I550 on the box.
