Could somebody update me on the status and availability of ntfs-3g (or other stable R/W) drivers for the dns-323?
This thread (http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t844-ntfs-3g.html) talks about a read only driver but is unclear about current status of r/w ntfs drivers.
Another recent thread (http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t2953-Bett … progs.html) asks about ntfsprogs.
Another thread mentioned a read-only ntfs.ko module but I can't seem to find it.
So in summary:
1. What is the current status and near-term prospects for ntfs RW (or RO) without booting another kernel or firmware?
2. If there are pre-compiled stable RO or RW drivers for the dns-323, where can I find them?
I would very much like to be able to mount ntfs external drives from the usb port for archive directly to/from the dns-323 raid array.
Thanks

In particular, is the ntfs.ko kernel module cited here http://dev.skcserver.de/dns323/modules_ … fs/ntfs.ko from APRIL 2007 compatible with the 1.05 version kernel?
Also is it stable for RO? stable for RW?

I have successfully compiled both fuse and ntfs-3g for my recompiled 2.6.12.6 kernels.
HOWEVER, ntfs-3g hangs (in an unkillable state) when trying to mount a ntfs-3g partition (either 'ro' or 'rw').
I posted to the ntfs-3g forum (http://forum.ntfs-3g.org/viewtopic.php? … highlight=) and their lead developer claims that this is a kernel bug in the earlier 2.6 kernels.
From googling, there do seem to have been problems with mips and arm kernels and I tried some of the kernel/fuse patches suggested but to no avail.
Unfortunately, since I have rev B1, I apparently can't (yet) use an upgraded kernel.
Has anyone been successful in getting ntfs-3g working with a 2.6.12.6 kernel?
