DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

I bought my DNS323 NAS just over a year ago. At that time I was using Windows XP. Although there wasn't an issue with its general operation, I did feel rather limited with respect to user rights and directory/file assignments. A few months after purchasing the NAS I bought a laptop with Windows Vista. The introduction of Vista into the environment caused me no end of heart ache and frustration. Not only did I struggle to learn the idiosyncrasies of Vista, accessing the NAS via Vista became a royal pain in the you know where!

While attempting to solve my Vista issues I stumbled across this forum and fonz’s fun plug. I must say I was rather reluctant to install ffp however now that it’s been running for some time I’m pleased to say that I’m glad I did. With suppport from members of this group and ffp not only have I been able to resolve most of my Vista issue’s (Running *.exe’s from a private directory still isn’t possible!), using many of ffp’s features I’ve been able to make multiple improvements to the operation of the NAS.

It’s for this reason that I thought I should take a few minutes to say many thanks To fonz and all who take residence here in this forum !!!
