Hi All,
I found some USB driver issue recently.
I have USB hub installed on DNS-323, and connect to a USB driver (for fonz ffp), UPS, printer. It was working fine till recently. I try to copy large number of file to an external HD, so I connect it to my USB hub, and issue many "nohup cp ...." to copy multiple files to external HD directly. However, I got "Bus error", and then everything stop work. Well, not everything, but because ffp installed on USB driver, so ffp stop working, that means almost all to me exception web page still fine.
Ok, I think usb-storage.ko may not good for multi-process, so I copy file one by one, at same time, I try to delete some file (one by one as well). Guess what? "Bus error" again!
Also when I try to use usb driver, usb-storage.ko got pretty high CPU usage.
I'm thinking is that because my usb-storage.ko has bug? out of date? Where you guys(girls) get your usb-storage.ko from? I'm using firmware 1.05
Thanks

The storage module is part of the kernel. Only one version per kernel exists. The only difference that my occur are other options (e.g. debug output). For me it sounds more like a hardware problem.

This is the one I'm using currently and so far no issues. However, I am currently only using the USB Flash Drive to store/run my ffp environment. This module supposedly works with fw v >= 1.03 and does not include extra debug messages. Is it the latest / best? I actually don't know. If there is a newer / better version I'd switch to it.
