UPnP and/or MediaTomb not detected by Xbox 360

I just got an Xbox 360 and am trying to connect to my DNS-323 (v1.06). I have tried using the built in UPnP server, as well as MediaTomb but the Xbox 360 never sees these as available devices. However, if I browse the Network in Vista, I can see both the DNS-323 and MediaTomb as available devices. (Note: I've tried them individually not together. I have also disabled SSDP and other media sharing services on my desktop to prevent any conflicts.)

This would make me think the problem was with my Xbox, however if I install TVersity on my desktop, as soon as the service starts my XBox 360 sees it and it populated in the source list. It seems the XBox and the DNS-323 are unable to communicate. My router is an Asus WL-520GU w/DD-WRT v24 SP1, I have also tried with an old Linksys WRT54G and have the same issue.

I'm not sure what else to check and am curious if anyone has had a similar experience and how it may have been solved.

Thanks.

Re: UPnP and/or MediaTomb not detected by Xbox 360

I have no experience of MediaTomb but I am successfully using Twonky on my DNS323 to serve video streams eg. DivX to an Xbox 360.

I wasn't asking if it worked, I know that it works - thats the problem. I'm asking if anyone has had similar trouble as I've had and how they fixed it.

Thanks.

Re: UPnP and/or MediaTomb not detected by Xbox 360

The first time I installed 1.06 and enabled UPnP server my xbox 360 could not see it. I used the "factory settings" option to reset all the settings of dns-323 and then configured it again manually. Now xbox 360 could see the UPnP server. However, overall i'm not impressed with UPnP server as it does not seem to cache information so it is very slow browsing folders if you have many media files. I'm using twonkey now it works much better.
