Hi,
I have a dns-323 with a fresh install of mac osx running the latest firmware. The transfer speeds are incredibly slow. Anyone have any suggestions? Window transfers are fine. But an example, for me to copy a 1GB file, it takes approximately 20-30mins on OSX.
The DNS-323/OSX are both connected to a DLink 1GB switch.

It's really slow for me too. FTP is fine with approx 2.6 mbyte/s over G wireless (350 mb in approx 2-4 minutes), but with smb, it would take around 30 minutes?

I haven't done anything, and my system running 10.5.6 is getting 20-30 mb/sec through a gigabit switch and using Jumbo Frames.....

That's odd...I've never used jumbo frames on my Mac Mini or gigabit switch or DNS-323, and transferring to/from the DNS-323/OS X Leopard, I get ~22MB/s read and ~17MB/s write over SMB.

Just imagine how much faster it could be - if you enabled JF
