Hello friends,
I have a dns-323 running afp. I installed it using the ffp package, as explained in this article: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:appletalk_
I connect to the dns-323 over afp with Macs running OS X version 10.4.11.
A strange thing happened today. I came home this afternoon to find the dns-323 powered down; I'm not sure why this happened, and it may or may not be related to the problem at hand. But at any rate, I booted it up, and now when I connect to it via afp (as user kbgrimes), that users's home directory appears empty. However, in Terminal I can ssh to the box as kbgrimes, and the files all appear to be present.
I then connected to the box via afp as a different user, and the files in that user's home directory appear to be present and available over afp.
Thanks folks, I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have about why this might be happening.
