i broke fun_plug
Hi,
I had everything working ok on my dlink323, then I added in a 2nd HDD drive (into RHS slot) and now ffp doesn't work anymore?
I read that if things go bad, just put the .tgz and fun_plug script back in the Volume_1 and telnet should start and then can fix, but they don't run? Looking at the ffp log it doesn't add any new lines on system restart.
This second HDD had already been in the dlink, (formally LHS slot) but has ~800GB of data that I need and didn't want to risk losing while learning and messing around with the ffp, so i took it out and added a new HDD into LHS slot, on which I installed ffp. Now putting in my original HDD with all my data into RHS slot has stopped ffp running?
Any ideas?
I'm pretty disappointed as I *just* got things set-up and working the way I wanted ... now this!

Not yet, only found it was a problem at 3am but I'm on way to a 8am flight so will try that next week.
I couldn't find anything (in a quick search) about adding second drives causing this problem, but is there a way to test which is the true /mnt/HD_2 without telnet / ssh access?

You most likely had the single drive in the wrong location. The right hand slot is the first drive and the left slot is the second. If you had your solo drive in the left slot, then that is the source of your problem. You can try swapping the location of the drives, or copy your fun_plug information over to the other drive. Do not confuse Volume_1 with the HD_a1. fun_plug needs to be installed on HD_a1, which is not neccesarily Volume_1.

Nooo don't tell me that! Then I gotta find some way to store 800gig of data somewhere! I'm still holding onto the hope that a drive swap is all that's needed. The nervous wait untill I can try these suggestions continues....

Drive swap or putting fun_plug on the other disk sould be enough.

Ok, well some good news, I switched the drives over and everything is there and working again -just had to update all my 'networked drives' links.
