DNS-323 - After some time, box stop to see the HD

Hello forum,

I have DNS-323 with fun-plug 5, working fine for about 6 months, with only one HD. Now, the box seem to stop to see the HD (Seagate barracuda 1 Tb.) I can access the GUI through the web, under status tab I see the drive, but I canīt acces it. Only solution so far is reboot the unit, the first time the box doesnīt detect the HD at all, then I shutdown the unit, wait for a while and finally after that I can see the HD with all info there, just as nothing happened.....After some time, the problem is repeated.......The firmware version is 1.05

Any help or idea what is going on are very welcome.....

I don't if you're aware but Seagate has acknowledged problems with the firmware on many of their larger drives - and released firmware updates intended to correct the problems.  Perhaps you'd like to verify that your drive is/is not on the affected list and if necessary apply the update to it as a first step into resolving the problem.

Hi Fordem,
Thanks for your answer......I think that the the list of affected disk and firmware should be at Seagate site isnīt it ? Iīm going to take a look there....
