Is there a max number files limit on UPNP AV?

I have a PS 3 connecting the DNS-323 (v1.06 & fun_plug).
I am trying to collect all my videos onto the 1.5TB drive in there after various testing I am happy with the NAS.

But now I have been starting to have problems problems ...it seems like if you have too many files in a folder you get "No titles found" on the PS 3 sad
I am testing as I send this....I had 278 movies in my "movies" folder and the get the error.
I moved a bunch and now only have 227 files/movies and the PS 3 is listing the files fine now.

is there a max # files that uPNP DLNA can handle?
I am going to copy some movies back in slowly (and I do hit refresh in the DNS-323 admin av server screen ).
I am thinking there is maybe a 254 max number of files?

Any body out there with more files in one folder....and working?

Thanks!

Re: Is there a max number files limit on UPNP AV?

Before you blame the DNS check for file availablity by streaming to a PC.  I have a PS3 and have not had any problems seeing files on the 323 as of yet.  However, I have had problems with the PS3 recognizing file sizes on it's own hard drive and on the 323. the ps3 sometimes misreads files with the last 3 digits between 500 and 999.  You should also be aware that the ps3 is VERY strengent on DRM issues.  Sony does not approve of any thing that think is legal.  Also, there have been reports that if your folders are too deep ps3 has problems and itunes can bury files way down.
