nzbget and astraweb

I've been using the latest (December 2008) version of nzbget with Astraweb for the past month without any issues over SSL.

This past weekend, any attempt to connect to ssl.astraweb.com results in " Could not establish secure connection: TLS handshake failed: the operation timed out"

When when not using encryption, connections to news.astraweb.com results in  "ERROR   Could not receive data on socket: ErrNo 11, Resolver error"

A PC client in the same network running altbinz can download from either server without any issues

Help !

Hmm, that looks like a DNS error to me.  Domain Name System, that is, not DNS-323.  What happens if you try this command?

Code:

user@dns:~$ ping news.astraweb.com

Hmm, that looks like a DNS error to me.  Domain Name System, that is, not DNS-323.  What happens if you try this command?

Code:

user@dns:~$ ping news.astraweb.com

I get

Code:

 ping news.astraweb.com
PING news.astraweb.com (216.151.153.22): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 216.151.153.22: seq=0 ttl=48 time=97.012 ms

The 216.151.153.22 is the same answer when I ping from the PC running Altbinz - they're both connected to the same D-Link DIR-625 router...

Re: nzbget and astraweb

I think my problem is bigger than nzbget now...

I formatted the Volume_1 drive:
- Re-installed funplug 0.5
- activated ssh
- installed nzbget

Same result

Now the next step in funplug is to download the packages via

Code:

rsync -av inreto.de::dns323/fun-plug/0.5/packages .

hangs at "receiving file list"

Installing optware had the same issue, calling

Code:

wget http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/dns323/cross/unstable/ipkg-opt_0.99.163-10_arm.ipk

results in

Code:

Connecting to ipkg.nslu2-linux.org (140.211.169.169:80)
ipkg-opt_0.99.163-10 0% | | 0 - stalled -

It's almost like any DNS request made programatically are not being resolved, but command line parameters seems to work fine.  I even did a "telnet news.astraweb.com 119" and got reasonable responses

Also upgraded the firmware on the D-Link DIR615 to the latest (2.25 for Rev. B2) - in which the upgraded wiped all settings and they're manually re-entered - same result

Have also tried using hard-coded IP instead of news.astraweb.com in the nzbget.conf settings, again, same result

Help !!
